Forensic Engineer

Will consult with clients, analyze file materials, and perform field inspections to gather data and information. Will perform calculations and testing as required in order to reconstruct motor vehicle accidents, report findings both orally and in writing, Overnight travel may be required on short notice.

Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering; 5 yrs. progressively more responsible experience in accident reconstruction, particularly w/ heavy vehicles; familiarity w/ formulae and comp. software used in reconstruction (HVE, EDVAP, RECTEC, etc.); Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including heavy trucks; experience in performing CVSA-type insp. (post-collision); experienced/certified CDR analyst; experienced/certified in retrieving heavy truck engine ECM data; experienced/certified for expert testimony in state and federal courts; experienced/trained in investigating vehicle fires for origin and cause.
