MOTORCYCLE ACCIDENTS

Bloomberg Consulting, Inc. is contacted frequently to reconstruct motorcycle accidents to determine the answers to questions such as:

How fast was each vehicle traveling?

If one vehicle had not been speeding, would the accident have occurred?

What was the perception and reaction time for each driver?

Could either driver have steered or braked in order to avoid the accident?

Were each vehicle's lights on?

Did the motorcyclist apply the front brakes, rear brakes, or both brakes?  The answer to this question narrows the range of speeds possible due to skid marks from the motorcycle.

Was the motorcyclist wearing a helmet?  Would a helmet have lessened the forces of the impact?
