AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENTS
Bloomberg Consulting, Inc. is contacted frequently to
reconstruct automobile accidents to determine the answers to questions such as:
How fast was each vehicle
traveling?
If one vehicle had not been
speeding, would the accident have occurred?
What was the perception and
reaction time for each driver?
Could either driver have
steered or braked in order to avoid the accident?
Were each vehicle's lights on?
How much was each vehicle
crushed?
What was the change in speed
(or delta-v) for each vehicle?
How did the occupants move
during the collision sequence?
Were the occupants wearing
their seat belts? If not, how did this affect the forces experienced
during the impact?
Was the visibility of either
driver obscured by trees, buildings, etc?
